What’s Art Debutant?

Art Debutant is a place where emerging artists can show their work, meet other artists, and where art lovers all over the world can follow, and communicate directly with artists. We are an online gallery with a big sense of community: we contain a fresh directory of new artists to share with art enthusiasts. There are very few places for emerging artists and art students to show their new artwork and Art Debutant provides the local space and environment they need to start their careers.

Art Work Specifications

Art Debutant considers art that is conceptually sophisticated and technically accomplished in the mediums of photography, painting, prints and new genres.

I’m having problems uploading my work in the forms?

If the form is appearing again, it is because you are submitting jpegs that are too large. Please note that the total sum of jpegs should not exceed 8 mb. If it doesn’t show a confirmation page following your submission, it means we did not receive your submission because your images exceed the limit. Please do not leave the page: re-submit your work with the appropriate size images.

I submitted my artwork but I don’t see them when I sign in to my account?

We are a curated gallery, and it takes time to go through all the submissions. Please be patient with this process as we take our time to carefully review artwork from each artist.

What happens when my artwork is accepted?

We will send you a message letting you know that your gallery is ready and when you sign in to your account, you will see your latest uploaded artwork.

What happens if I am not accepted?

If you are not accepted, you will not be hearing from us. But, we will let you know when you can re-submit.

How is my work promoted?

We offer an intimate, advertising free, online gallery space where your work will be exposed and featured in your own gallery as well as in the home banner in Art Debutant’s website. Each week, there is a new Debutant whose work will be highlighted. You will also be featured through social media platforms: Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Pinterest. Some AD artists will be selected for interviews which will be located in our news section of the website. You will also be featured in our annual collectors book which will be sent to galleries and collectors. We have an ambitious agenda of up-coming promotional events, such as physical gallery shows, contests, and art fairs. Collectors will also be able to contact artists directly through our site.

What are the advantages of being part of Art Debutant as opposed to having my own personal website?

We all know the saying, “There is power in numbers.” Instead of marketing yourself to one person at a time, being part of the Art Debutant community will expose your work to thousands of potential collectors. You will reach a level of exposure that you could never achieve by going it alone.

What if I’m a self-taught artist and would like to submit my work?

You can also submit your work. The submission fee for self-taught artists is the same fee as the graduated artists.

If I show my work in Art Debutant can I also show it at other Galleries?

Yes, the more exposure the better for you! We want you to succeed and have the freedom to show your work to whomever and however you see fit.
