For years now, I have been experimenting with various media, whether it has been performing arts, literary, or visual. My time with Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, as a Young Artist at Work Intern in 2006 taught me how to reach out to assorted tools and not only focus on one medium to express myself. During my years at City Arts and Technology High School, I practiced spoken word poetry, and also worked with peers to create murals on wooden panels.

Additional Description more details

I constructed my own piece that was displayed at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, during the Young at Art Festival in 2008. In 2010, a few local artists and I under the name "The Underground Art Crew", received a grant from Southern Exposure’s Alternative Exposure Grant Program, and collaborated on a mural that was displayed at Mama’s Art Café in San Francisco along with an exhibition. However recently, I have been exploring more of photography and digital media. I believe that every object in every environment is alive and projects a set of emotions, and I enjoy capturing those emotions and memories in the Bay Area, that help connect me to my community. In my future visual work, I hope to expose the bare reality of our society, and the beautiful diversity the Bay has to offer.
